Vecgulbene Manor is the main historic site in town, with the White Palace, Red Palace, parkland, and restored estate buildings showing what Gulbene looked like before Soviet-era industry and apartment blocks changed the scale of the place.
Parts of the complex have been adapted for modern use, so this is not a sealed museum visit. Walk the grounds and use it as a lens for the older Baltic-German manor landscape around Gulbene.
