The Castle Tower of Tukums is the most visible remnant of the town's medieval castle, once held by the Livonian Order. It stands just off Brivibas Square, so it is the natural first stop in the old centre.
Inside, the museum uses the small space to explain the town's earlier layers. The tower is not grand, but it gives Tukums a historical anchor beyond its pleasant streets and flowers.
