Durbe Manor

Restored neoclassical manor east of Tukums, with period interiors and museum exhibitions.

Durbe Manor is the best single sight in Tukums, a pale neoclassical house set in parkland east of the centre. The building has been restored with period rooms, furniture, and exhibitions that make the Baltic manor world feel less abstract.

It is close enough to town to reach without much effort, but far enough out to change the rhythm of a visit. Pair it with the old centre for a compact half day.
