Samogitian Village Museum

The Samogitian Village Museum is the open-air branch of Alka, set on the south-western shore of Lake Mastis. Its farmsteads, barns, smithy, and windmill give the region's rural culture a physical scale that display cases cannot.

It works best as a follow-up to the main museum. After seeing the objects in town, the village museum shows the houses and work spaces they came from, with enough room around the buildings to make the visit feel unhurried.
