De Blaricummerheide is a heathland nature reserve immediately west and south of Blaricum, part of the broader Goois Natuurreservaat. The landscape is classic Dutch Gooi heathland — open expanses of heather, scattered birch woodland, and sandy paths — with views across the polders toward the Eemmeer.
Walking and cycling routes thread through the reserve, connecting to the larger network of trails that covers the entire Gooi area. The heather blooms in late summer (typically August–September), turning the landscape purple. Free to enter; accessible directly on foot from the village centre.
