Wildlands is Emmen's headline attraction: a modern zoo designed as a set of themed worlds rather than a line of cages. Jungola, Serenga, and Nortica mix animals with play areas, indoor spaces, rides, and enough shelter to make the visit work in uneven Dutch weather.
It replaced the old Dierenpark Emmen in 2016 and sits within walking distance of the station and town centre. Families can easily spend most of a day here; adults without children may still find the animal habitats and scale more interesting than expected.
