Trefoldighetskirken, or Trinity Church, is Arendal's skyline church, a tall neo-Gothic landmark rising above the harbour streets. Its brick tower and pointed forms give the town a more vertical profile than the low wooden houses and waterfront warehouses around it.
Step inside if it is open, but the church is just as important as an orientation point while walking Arendal. It anchors the old centre, appears repeatedly between streets, and helps connect the harbour with the higher residential slopes behind it.
