Briksdalsbreen is one of the best-known arms of the Jostedalsbreen ice cap. The usual visit starts at Briksdal and follows the valley path towards the glacier lake, with waterfalls, steep walls, and cold meltwater setting the mood before the ice comes into view.
Do not judge it only by old photographs: the glacier has retreated, and the ice front changes over time. The walk is still worth doing for the whole valley, not just the endpoint.
