Oppstrynsvatnet is the long lake east of Stryn, running beneath steep green slopes on the way towards the mountains. It is not a single ticketed sight; it is a landscape to drive, cycle, photograph, or use as a quiet counterpoint to the bigger glacier excursions.
In calm weather the lake can be glassy and blue-green, with the high country rising at the far end. It is a good fallback when clouds make the highest viewpoints less rewarding.
