The Stanisław Fischer Museum is the town museum of Bochnia, housed in a former 17th-century Dominican monastery on the south side of the Rynek. The collection runs to local history, ethnography of the Lesser Poland countryside, archaeology of the surrounding hills and a substantial section on the salt mine.
The building itself is more interesting than the contents — vaulted cellars, an inner courtyard and frescoes on parts of the upper walls. Worth half an hour, free or close to it. Closed Mondays.
