Łańcut is in southeastern Poland, in the Subcarpathian region between Rzeszów and the Ukrainian border. It sits on the main east–west railway line and is easily reached from either direction.
By train: Łańcut has its own train station with regular services to and from Rzeszów (about 20 minutes) and Kraków (around 2 hours). Direct trains also connect to Przemyśl to the east. The station is about 1.5 km from the castle — walkable in 20 minutes or easily covered by taxi.
By car: From Rzeszów, take the E40 road east; Łańcut is about 17 km. From Kraków, follow the A4 motorway east and exit towards Rzeszów; total journey around 130 km. Ample parking is available near the castle entrance.
Day trip from Kraków: Łańcut is commonly visited as a day trip from Kraków, with morning trains allowing several hours at the castle before the return journey. It also combines well with a stop in Rzeszów.
