The Collegiate Church of Our Lady of Consolation and St. Stanislaus is Szamotuły's main church and one of its oldest buildings. Its Gothic body dates back to the medieval town, with major rebuilding in the 16th century giving it the form visitors see now.
Inside, look for the older fittings and monuments rather than expecting a huge cathedral effect. The church works best as part of the short walk between the castle, market square, and monastery, where it helps make Szamotuły feel like a proper historic town rather than a castle-only excursion.
