Górka Castle Museum

Castle museum with Halszka Tower, town history exhibits, and one of western Poland's notable icon collections.

Górka Castle Museum is the main reason Szamotuły belongs on a traveler map. The complex grew around a late-medieval castle and includes Halszka Tower, tied to the legend of Elżbieta Ostrogska, who was said to have been imprisoned there after a forced marriage to Łukasz Górka.

The museum is stronger than the castle silhouette suggests. Inside are exhibits on town history, regional life, and religious icons, while the tower gives the visit its sharp local story. Leave time to walk the grounds rather than treating it as a quick photo stop.
