Sand City, formerly associated with FIESA, is a large sand-sculpture attraction in the Algarve. Artists build oversized themed scenes and figures from sand, turning a simple roadside site into a surprisingly elaborate open-air gallery.
It is a family-friendly, seasonal stop rather than a core Silves sight. Check dates and evening opening before you go; it works best as a light add-on after the castle or as a break from beach towns.
