Cascais Marina

Modern marina south of the old town with 650 berths and several restaurants

The marina, opened in 1999, occupies a sheltered bay just south of the historic centre and is the largest on the Portuguese Riviera. It is home to roughly 650 yachts ranging from small day-sailers to substantial superyachts, and a regular stopover on European sailing circuits — the Cascais leg of the World Match Racing Tour was held here for several years.

The waterside has a low-key cluster of restaurants and bars, more relaxed than the busy seafront in the old town. The marina is also the departure point for sailing trips along the coast and out to Cabo da Roca — the westernmost point of mainland Europe — a short distance west.
