The central Jardim Luís de Camões is a small leafy garden between the cathedral and the river, with a turn-of-the-century bandstand and several mature plane trees. At its centre, a wrought-iron kiosk serves coffee, ginjinha, and snacks all day.
It is the most pleasant outdoor spot in the centre to sit with a drink in warm weather. The garden has free Wi-Fi and is busy with locals from breakfast onward.
