Farol de Regufe

The Farol de Regufe is the smaller, older of Póvoa's two harbour lighthouses. The slender stone tower sits at the southern end of the breakwater and was first built in the late 19th century to mark the approach to the port for the inshore fishing fleet.

A short walk along the breakwater from the seaport district gets you close. The light still operates. Combine with a walk around the harbour and the seafood lunch tavernas of Bairro Sul.
