Alexandru Buia Botanical Garden belongs to the University of Craiova and gives the city another good green pause. Its collections focus on plants found across Romania, with paths and planted areas that are more useful for a slow wander than for a quick checklist visit.
It is not as essential as Nicolae Romanescu Park, but it is a pleasant second garden if you have extra time or want shade on the west side of the centre.
