The Turnul lui Ștefan (Stefan's Tower) is a 15th-century belfry tower that was part of the original Princely Court complex. It stands at the edge of the old town square and is one of the defining landmarks of Piatra Neamț. The tower was used as a defensive structure, a watchtower, and a belfry at various points in its history.
Today it functions as a small museum of bells and bell-casting, a craft that has deep roots in Moldavian monastic culture. The climb up the tower offers good views over the town centre and the surrounding mountain walls.
