The Mountain Pharmacy, or Gornaya Apteka, occupies a restored 18th-century pharmacy building on Polzunova Street. The museum side explains how Barnaul's mining hospitals were supplied with medicines and instruments, while the rest of the complex works as a Siberian restaurant and shop.
It is a compact stop, but a useful one: it makes Barnaul's mining history feel domestic rather than abstract.
