Travel along the Yenisey
One can take the steam-ship cruise on the river Yenisey from Krasnoyarsk to the northern port Dudinka. Such travel will enable you to admire the beauty of the Siberia nature and study the local cultural monuments. The oldest city of the Eastern Siberia Yeniseisk which had been founded in 1619, is located to the north from Krasnoyarsk on the coast of the Yenisey. The great number of ancient Russian architecture monuments was preserved there. One of the oldest monasteries in Siberia, the Spaso-Preobrazhensky monastery, still stands here and is worth a visit for its onion-domed churches and quiet riverside setting.
