Lalsk Bell Tower

18th-century bell tower completing Lalsk's main church ensemble.

The bell tower stands between the churches of the main ensemble and pulls the square together. It was built in the 18th century and is worth seeking out not just as a monument, but as the best way to read the proportions of the whole complex.

If access is possible, the tower also gives the town's most useful view: roofs, river, square, and the forested edge of northern Kirov Oblast.
