Intercession Monastery is a Russian Orthodox convent in Taganka, known since the 17th century and rebuilt in large part in neoclassical form in the early 19th century. Its five-domed katholikon was added in the 1850s in Byzantine Revival style.
The monastery is also an active pilgrimage site because it holds the relics of St Matrona of Moscow.
