The Lower Volga Embankment follows the river below Nizhny Novgorod's high central ridge, linking the Grebnoy Canal area with the approaches toward Kanavinsky Bridge. It is less monumental than the upper embankment, but gives a different river-level view of the city and works well as part of a longer Volga walk.
