Omsk State Museum of Local History occupies the former West Siberian governor's mansion. Its exhibits cover the region before and after Russian colonisation, including nomadic cultures, imperial administration, and Siberian trade.
The building also has a link with Admiral Alexander Kolchak, who lived here in 1918-1919 while leading the White government. Look for the Kalmyk throne and traditional clothing displays.
