Getting There

Ryazan is well connected to Moscow by rail — the journey takes about two hours from Kazansky Vokzal (Kazan Station), with frequent departures throughout the day. The main Ryazan-1 railway station is in the city centre. Long-distance buses from Moscow operate regularly and take a similar amount of time.

There is no commercial airport in Ryazan. Most visitors arriving by air will fly into Moscow Domodedovo or Sheremetyevo and continue by train. Ryazan is also reachable by car from Moscow via the M5 motorway, about 180 kilometres southeast.
