Getting There

Tula is well connected to Moscow and easy to reach by train or bus.

Train: High-speed Sapsan and Lastochka trains run from Moscow Kursky station to Tula in under 2 hours. Older elektrichka commuter services also run but take considerably longer. The main Tula station (Moskovsky Vokzal) is on the northern edge of the city centre.

Bus: Buses from Moscow's Shchyolkovskaya and Yuzhnyye Vorota bus stations reach Tula in 2–3 hours depending on traffic. Less convenient than the train.

By car: Tula is about 190 km south of Moscow on the M2 highway. Allow 3–4 hours from Moscow in normal traffic.
