Nitra is 90 kilometres from Bratislava and connected by regular bus services (about 1.5 hours) and less frequent trains. Buses run from Bratislava's main bus station (Most SNP) throughout the day and are the more practical option. From Bratislava, driving takes about an hour on the D1 motorway.
There is no commercial airport in Nitra; the nearest is Bratislava Airport (BTS), which handles international traffic from Vienna as well as its own flights. Vienna International Airport (VIE) is about two hours by car and offers far more connections.
