Prešov is well connected by rail and bus to Košice, Poprad, and other towns in eastern Slovakia. Košice airport is the closest major airport; from there, trains and buses make the short journey north.
The city is also on important road routes through eastern Slovakia. Driving is useful if you want to combine Prešov with Šariš Castle, Bardejov, or the wooden churches and hills farther north.
