Museo Joaquín Peinado is devoted to the Ronda-born painter Joaquín Peinado, who spent much of his artistic life in Paris. His work sits in the orbit of Cézanne and Picasso, and the museum gives Ronda a useful modern-art counterpoint to its cliffs, bridges, and older palaces.
The museum is a good short stop if you want to see something quieter than the main viewpoints. It is especially worthwhile for travellers interested in Spanish artists who worked beyond Spain.
