Faja de Pelay

Dramatic cliff-edge balcony trail above the Ordesa valley

A spectacular balcony path cut into the cliff face high above the Ordesa valley. You gain the Faja by climbing steeply out of the valley floor via the Senda de los Cazadores, then traverse the ledge with the canyon yawning below you and the entire length of the valley laid out like a map. The views are extraordinary — the Circo de Soaso route below looks like a thread of silver ribbon.

The full loop combining the valley floor, the Faja, and the descent via the Cola de Caballo is a serious day out: about 22 km, with significant climbing and some exposed sections. Sure-footed walkers only.
