Son Marroig

Son Marroig is the former Mallorcan estate of Archduke Ludwig Salvator of Austria, an early advocate for protecting the island's landscape and wildlife. The Italianate mansion is now a museum, and the real reward is the setting: terraces, sea views, and one of the classic viewpoints on Mallorca's north-west coast.

It pairs well with Valldemossa or DeiĆ , especially if you are following the Serra de Tramuntana road rather than rushing straight through it.
