Montana de Guaza is the volcanic mass between Los Cristianos and the coast to the east, protected as a natural monument. Its dry slopes, scrub, and rough tracks feel strikingly different from the resort strip just below.
The draw is the walk: views over the Atlantic, Los Cristianos, and the south Tenerife coast, with a sense of open volcanic land surviving beside heavy tourism. Take water, sun protection, and sensible shoes; shade is scarce.
