La Granja de San Ildefonso is best reached by bus from Segovia, with La Sepulvedana running regular services throughout the day; the journey takes about 20 minutes. From Madrid, you can take the train or bus to Segovia and connect from there, or take a direct bus from the Moncloa bus station — check La Sepulvedana's timetables for the Madrid–La Granja service.
By car, La Granja is about 15 km southeast of Segovia via the CL-601. From Madrid it is roughly 80 km on the A-6 motorway and then the CL-601 over the Navacerrada pass — a scenic mountain drive. Parking in the town is straightforward outside peak summer weekends.
