Restaurante Zuloaga is one of the better-known restaurants in La Granja, serving traditional Castilian dishes in a solid stone dining room near the palace. The menu centres on the regional classics: cochinillo asado (roast suckling pig), cordero lechal (roast lamb), and bean stews in cooler months. The quality is reliable and the portions generous.
It fills up on weekends and during the summer tourist season, particularly on fountain-display days when visitor numbers spike. A reservation is advisable if you plan to arrive after midday on a Saturday or Sunday. The house wine is inexpensive and perfectly adequate; this is not a place for an elaborate wine list.
