Sant Domènec is a thirteenth-century Dominican church on the south edge of the old town, now Puigcerdà's principal place of worship after the loss of Santa Maria. It is a single-nave Gothic building of plain stone with a wooden roof and remarkable medieval frescoes on the side chapels — some of the best-preserved medieval wall paintings in Catalonia.
The cloister and the rough monastic refectory adjoining the church survive in good condition and are sometimes open to visitors. The square in front, Plaça del Pati, holds the town's Sunday market — cheeses, sausages, and farm produce from the surrounding Cerdanya valley.
