La Manga is a strip of sand approximately 22kms long which forms a barrier and encloses the Mar Menor - Little Sea- and separates it from the Mar Mayor - Big Sea - or Mediterranean .
At its narrowest it is only 100 metres wide. At the 2 extremes of the strip there are protected natural areas, Las Salinas, here you can see the pink pelicans. The Mar Menor is a paradise for nautical sports and in season, you will find jet skis, diving, fishing and every other water sport available either in the Tomas Maestro marina or on the sandy beaches
