The Museo de Ramón Gaya occupies the restored Casa Palarea on the quiet Plaza de Santa Catalina. It holds a permanent collection of works by the Murcia-born painter Ramón Gaya (1910-2005), who spent decades in exile in Mexico before returning to Spain. The paintings, watercolors, and sketches trace a long artistic life shaped by the Spanish Civil War and its aftermath.
Entry is free. The building itself is worth a look — a handsome 18th-century townhouse with a small courtyard.
