Esglesia de Santa Maria de Peniscola is the old parish church inside Peniscola's historic core. It was built in the 13th century on the site of a former mosque, later reshaped in Gothic style, and still holds objects linked to Papa Luna and Clement VIII. It pairs naturally with the castle and old town lanes.
