A modest strip of dark volcanic sand directly beside the harbour, sheltered by the breakwater. The water is calm and clean, and there are sun loungers and umbrellas to rent in season. It is one of the few beaches on this stretch of coast that has not been redesigned for mass tourism — there is no boardwalk lined with shops behind it, just a low wall and the village street.
The beach is busiest with local families at weekends. In high summer it gets crowded, but compared with Los Cristianos or Las Américas to the south it is positively sleepy. A lifeguard is on duty during summer months. Showers and toilets are at the harbour end.
