Iglesia de San Nicolas

Iglesia de San Nicolas is one of Requena's old parish churches, first built in the 13th century and altered several times after that. Its fabric shows the town's long transition from medieval frontier settlement to later Castilian and Valencian influences.

The church is a good stop while exploring the old quarter around La Villa and its cave cellars. It is not as showy as some Spanish churches, but its age and setting make it worth including on a Requena walk.
