The Torre del Homenaje is the clearest remnant of Requena's fortified past. It stands by the old castle area, above the lanes of La Villa, and gives the old town a hard defensive edge.
The tower is a short visit rather than a major monument, but the view helps explain Requena's position between Valencia and the Castilian interior.
