Jardin de Viveros, also known as Jardines del Real, is one of Valencia's most pleasant central gardens. It sits near the Fine Arts Museum and the Turia gardens, with broad paths, fountains, rose beds, sculpture, and enough shade to make it useful in hot weather.
The garden is a good hinge between museum time and a longer walk through the old riverbed park. It is not as futuristic as the City of Arts and Sciences or as historic as the cathedral quarter, but it shows Valencia's softer civic side beautifully.
