Kumla is a small Swedish industrial town with two distinctive attractions: a shoe museum that chronicles the industry that once defined this part of Närke, and the Kvarntorp art park built on a smouldering industrial ruin. Neither is a conventional tourist attraction, but both are genuinely interesting.
