Square commemorating the 1101 meeting of three Scandinavian kings

The "new" square — new being relative in a thousand-year-old town — is marked by a sculpture commemorating the 1101 meeting of the kings of Sweden, Norway, and Denmark at Kungahälla, the medieval predecessor to Kungälv. The meeting was significant enough that the town still considers it part of its founding identity.
