The old square is the social heart of Kungälv's historic centre, ringed by wooden buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries. On Thursday evenings from mid-May to early September, classic car owners gather here from 17:00 to 21:00 — anyone with a car 30 years or older is welcome to park and put it on display. When the weather holds, the square fills up.
