Landskrona Museum occupies part of the Citadellet complex and covers the town's history from medieval trading port to modern industrial city. The permanent collection includes material on the Danish-Swedish wars that made this stretch of coast a military frontier, exhibits on the local sugar and chemical industries, and a section on the town's Jewish community, which was one of the first in Sweden to receive settlement rights in the 18th century.
The temporary exhibitions tend to focus on local social history and Swedish cultural themes; the quality varies but the curatorial approach is genuine. If you are visiting the citadel anyway, the museum is included in the same ticket and worth an additional hour.
