Bergkvara Castle Ruin is a quieter stop west of Växjö, on the grounds of a later manor. The old castle was once one of the region's important noble estates before it fell into ruin.
It is best treated as a gentle add-on if you have a car or bike, especially if you are already exploring the countryside around Växjö.
