Mosebacke Torg

Mosebacke Torg is a small square on the heights of northern Södermalm, best known for Södra Teatern and its adjoining terrace, Mosebacketerrassen, which opens onto one of the city's great views over the harbour, the old town, and the boats coming and going at Slussen below. In summer the terrace is a hugely popular spot for an evening drink with that panorama spread out in front of you.

Södra Teatern itself is a historic theatre and music venue with bars and a lively programme, and the square has long been associated with Stockholm's cultural and bohemian life — it features in the opening of Strindberg's novel The Red Room. Combine a drink on the terrace with the walk along Fjällgatan nearby, another classic Södermalm viewpoint.
