The Bergianska trädgården (Bergian Garden) is Stockholm's botanical garden, run by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and located on the university campus at Frescati. The outdoor collection includes a Japanese garden, a kitchen garden, and beds devoted to Nordic wildflowers. Two greenhouses — Edvard Anderson's for Mediterranean and tropical plants, and Victoria House for water lilies — are worth stepping into even on a warm day. The garden is free to enter; the greenhouses charge a small admission. It is a quiet spot, well off the usual tourist route, and pairs well with a visit to the neighbouring Natural History Museum.
